There is a scenario here: First off although i don’t think boston sucks, because i am rooting for them to win the series. from that, i saw the new boston tees against the rival lakers and have to say that they are the worst independently made tees for a franchise in any sport, EVER!!! The coach would never get players in the locker room and them, “you just gotta beat them!” That would never happen! A coach would demand a win in the locker, PERIOD!! From that you have, by default a better TEE in this Team Odom shirt by UNDFTD. although i don’t believe this phrase, i can’t help but dislike the lackluster slogan given to boston from whoever out there has no job.
Today, is a celebration of summer. Not the typical, wait til the 20th, that we all have been celebrating for the last forever. I’m celebrating a new found respect for the heat. I’m inside, where it’s just as, or more humid than outside. There will never be a time where i realized for the last 6 years plus, the heat has hit it’s dampest around this time.
It’s been about 4 days, since the first burst of unnecessary heat (thanx The Sun) and i have been crawling around the house trying NOT to sweat. impossible. i realized a scientific fact: I sweat more when i sit still and think about NOT sweating, then moving around as lilttle as i can.
Another thing that i realized about what can generate heat is new releases!!!
Today, i was sent a new Supreme pack by Sean Cliver (Hyper artistic visionary).
The Dick and Jane collection above is the shorthand of a trend that is to come this year. More and more buddies in the industry and forum whores that send me new products to write about, are all about similar is structure. There is something that i am known for and that is naming things. I would call smashing as much color, characters, lines and flavors together is from now on called “emalgetrend”. The fusion of mediums, abstraction and the like all can come from this word. I would deem it a technical term in it’s stance.
Ron English has work that personifies this, companies like original fake or as well know, KAWS, shepard fairey as well. There are just too many to name.
i got dozens and dozens of releases, so I will have the energy to use this word quite often. another thing is that there are some company like hypebeast and slam, who don’t get the news that before i do and there still isn’t any feedback here.
i got this pack about 2 weeks ago, got around to it today, i got the pack for the sheeds, the lacoste and others WAAAY before these other sites have, even outdoing KarmaLoop, where i still follow and used to get my news.

yes, Sheed IS an influencer and with this new pack made by the folks at NIKE, you can see what he has influenced as a player. I know there is not other player that has a shoe made by the 26 year old Air Force brand. His hi-top old school style of play and shoe kinda go hand in hand.

These are some of best colorways that i have seen on The Air Force One in years. The legendary blue and red with a black overtone, set the shoe off. The well known Sheed insignia is HUGE along the outside of the upper suede. A bare ankle strap wraps the Top of the shoe, showing that simplicity is more amazing than cluttered overuse. The only flashy piece in the shoe, is the patent herringbone, similar to an onyx finish.
with an air bubble at the back of the sole, obviously these are already classics in my book and i hope to see more like these in the future.

If you don’t know by now, i am a HUGE fan of 80’s fashion and design. From movie posters like Blade Runner by artist Drew Struzan, to pitched works and birth of the definitive marvel style in the 80’s by Frank Frazetta.
There are just a brilliant number of designs set in the 80’s that defined the undefined.
If ever, there was a human that had no other choice but to be called cool, then it would be because they wore a pair of these:
These are just a crazy pair of glasses, coming from a man that doesn’t really wear glasses. i think that if there were a pair that i would pick up, it would be these. Done by Mason Martin margiela these sunglasses look as if they were made by astronauts that visited the sun. the design behind these are nutts.
I can’t think of a better pair.
Called “L’Incognitos”, available in black or white, they are to me, at the pinnacle of this phase designer shades. I don’t think that there is anything that can top a pair of these eyehats without assistance from diamonds.

I enjoy the company of loose women, as much as I would like to say that apostalic girls with their high morals and wild speaking in tongues are crazy fun, they just arent. Hoes are fun. If someone tells you otherwise then a hoe slept with their man or woman and they are just bitter. Hoes or Jump-offs as they are affectionately called are some of the most interesting people you will ever meet and hey you just might have a happy ending to the night. Theirs are lives of neverending adventure. Tell me who are the people with the most interesting stories? People who either travel a lot or hump a lot and the people that do both should write a book and some have. For hoes I would say each new person is like a new destination. They are many types of hoes but I believe there are two main types, the HoeHoe and the undercover hoe. Each comes with your various breakdowns into several categories but to catalogue such things one would have to do extensive research. Anyway, The HoeHoe is my personal favorite, she is not diluted about who she is, she enjoys the company of various partners and does hide or lie to herself or others about this fact. I believe a lot of women hate the HoeHoe because she is free in everyway they are not but dont get me wrong the HoeHoe has a enough baggage to fill up O’Hare airport. The HoeHoe is your friend, she is not shy about your place within the scheme of things. Mine is usually the friend since I was raised to be non-judgmental and my own mother hung out with prosititutes and drug addicts so it prepared to get along with those on the fringes of (air quote fingers) normal society. So my position makes me privy to the insights of the women you dont call the next day. One big thing I learned is that just as much as you dont care neither do they. This women when they want to stop being HoeHoes leave town and reinvent themselves better because they got all that shit out and now there ready to find the man who they can tell that their daddy touched them and they are totally fucked up and his next reaction isnt to leave.I like to think HoeHoes have happy endings because they were their complete unadulterated fucked up selves until they finally wanted or needed to change.
Now, undercover hoes are another story. Undercover hoes are fun too but a different kind of fun. They are fun when you want to pretend. Pretending can only go on for so long because ubndercover hoes live in wonderland. They seem to believe that if they just act like they are a good girl some man will come sweep them off their feet. This is not only for women, the male version of undercover hoes are called dream weavers, the name pretty much explains it. Undercover hoes will sleep with a circle of friends and swear everyone to secrecy but few secrets are kept between good friends. This is what makes me sad, undercover hoes like to play it like they arent having sex with more than one person and this is when they get played, eventually friends find out and play into his or her game while at the same time laughing behind his or her back. This is when they start to get treated like less than a C.H.U.D hoe. The respect is lost because if a person hates a hoe I can tell you he or she hates a lying one. I love hoes but I hate lying ones, there is no reason to lie to yourself, it only leads to pain in the end. So i say to undercover hoes come out of the closet they probably know already. This way when someone comes along and is genuinely interested he or she can know that you are a hoe (I rhymed, I want a contract ASAP) and that you just arent the one. Its nothing more sad than seeing a man or woman in love with a hoe with delusions of grandeur. It just ends with hurt feelings and sometimes two hoes.
Im just saying if you like to get your groove on (or thug thizzle as I like to call it simply because I am so far away from being a thug) jsut admit it and be fine with yourself. To quote a woman that once responded to my accusation of infidelity with “I just got some head.” “Do you boo boo do you!”

Probably one of the funnier things that i have seen on the TUBE this past weekend, was a short for a woman, who i think runs a home business and has a secretary.
The thing about this employee, is the fact that she has some kind of problem keepin her ass clean:

This has gotta be the worst song and video that i have ever seen. it’s the epitome of why black women never get respected. I just don’t understand how something like this got out of the studio. where were the producers?? what the hell happened?? that’s the kind of thing that i hear A LOT, but it’s also the kind of thing that i should only hear on the street not at a gas station, when somone comes home from the club.
The location defeats the purpose of the songs lyrics. They’re singing in a strip club!! The same place that the female suggested he stay away from or she’ll “pull out my 9!!” WTF??!
It’s a very irrelevant song with no value, shelf life or meaning. i think about the times when the great used to sit around the studio for hours, with multi-million dollar budgets, prolifically putting out to make another well-produced smash. the quincy jones, the john williams, the tom dowds, that list is getting so short i can name all the great today in one sitting! music is declining, because the game is congested with people that only have songs that are only worth $.99 anymore.
ringtones cost more than songs, which doesn’t make all that much sense. Television used to screw people for $25-$30 for “NOW…” CDs. rhino records even jumped on board in the 80’s and 90’s to bend over willing customers to buy their CDs. Now, people aren’t even buying CDs like that.
Soundscan weeks are down 10% every year from the previous. no one want the legendary tracks, the million dollar budgets. companies compete with the music labels, to produce low-grade, chopped and poorly displayed beggar hits, that amount to less quality than mainstream has to offer.
I think about singles like Lollipop by Lil’ Wayne: horrid shit!! i can’t believe that the last single in the career of one of the last promising songwriters/producers of our time, sprayed the toxic sludge lyric, “shorty wanna thug, bottles in the club”. to the accord and remembrance of Static, former lead singer of one of the last great groups PLAYA, who was apart of the infamously unsuccessful BASSMENT Group, he will be missed.
The BASSMENT was a group made famous by former jodeci member, devante, who completely took no responsiblity to nurture a talent pool like what he had, so they split. Today, those people are now modern day legends in Timbaland, missy elliot the neptunes, PLAYA and (the late) aaliyah.
I could never imagine being the head of a studio and have an entry like this come to my hands, asking for approval to be released and to have a budget as a single. IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!!! i can’t believe that this is the stuff that people are making in world-class studios right now. this shit is not even suggestive.
it’s irrelevant to what music is, that’s why it could never be called music. the only buzz that an entry like this should get is in ebaum’s world, youtube (which is where it’s embedded from), and other comedy sites. it should never be taken serious, played in clubs and should be buried like they E.T.!!

Probably a match made in cinematic heaven is this weeks Debris on the september release of ‘Righteous Kill’, starring Film Legends Robert Dinero and Al Pacino.
Art Studio SA, Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol Were hand picked by Overture Films to make the movie release poster for the flick. Can’t wait to see it so i can review it.
Gritty just seems to be the designer’s right to busting in the game or getting a foot somewhat in the door. Mr. Cartoon and Oriol or just classic example or great artistic vision. To come together with a film, similarly made with titans in the art of film, shows that there are people still making great movies.
I Think righteous kill will be one of those releases that unexpectedly take over box office weekends across the country. The poster makes me think of that monochromatic feel that i saw in the boxes and posters made for ‘resevoir dogs’, lock, stock and two smokin’ barrels and so forth.
There are just so much to look for this year in film and art, that i should be able to keep somewhat busy.
Might just be one of the people that have inspired me the most to quit my job and start my career this past week! Jimmy (James) White is one of the sickest artist that i have seen in a while, taking the DVNO approah and creating this whole other world that existed in the 80’s, with the sci-fi generation ramping up and making life as a kid just the best thing to ever happen.
We are also inspired by some of the same artist from the 80’s as well like Drew Struzan, who is an unbelievable painter and graphic artist and illustrator. i completely understand nostalgia, but never really respected it as an artist until i thought about my own childhood and how much i love shows like thundercats and silverhawks, dragon ball. movies like star wars (which i am a freak for for some reason), Old HBO feature presentation intros, all kinds of things rekindle what i remember as a kid and how much of my life that it was apart of.
Millions of stories cram my head, as i think of what i wanted to be, how i wanted to do it, where i wanted to start, etc. almost 20 years later, working a crapfest of a 7.70 an hour job, i realized that i settled for less. I realized that i was better than what a job could offer and use my talent as a valuable asset and tool to get me through these bad times. I needed something to guide me that was more than me, it was more than my existance. i don’t know what that is right this second but i am following it every single step of the way.

the style that james has, is the kind of style that i want to incorporate, when i have personal projects lined up, just to stay motivated. i think that there are more and more of these kinds of arts that are disappearing but the 80’s trends are hitting an all-time high right now as a trend in design, ads, and illustration. but no one is partaking in this (above) kind of art. just pulling different colors, shades and methods and making your own thing out of them.
these are techniques that i aspire to get good at. i love that feel that it brings to the image. the multitude of colors and lighting. like you are being sucked in to the image uncontrollably. the focal is all that you see in these werks and there are few that can mimic this style of presentation.

I have been waiting for max payne to come along as a film since the day that i bought the game and claimed a film soon after would follow. although the thought of a release is good, i don’t like the director all that much, who has done only one decent movie called ‘Behind enemy lines’ as well as some awful ones that i don’t care to mention.
i hope they stick to the graphic novel approach that gave a life to the story, but couldn’t save all of the gameplay (the bullet time was nutts). i hope there were some rights to get the bullet time methods and technology usable in the picture, otherwise it completely defeats the purpose of making the picture.
Bullet time is the signature style in the game that made the game play attractive. another thing is that they got mark wahlberg to do max payne, which shocked my system to the accord, that they did a wolverine cast.
A “wolverine cast” is when they cast someone who just doesn’t seem to be in the same size exchange as the actual character in the previous medium.
wolverine is small and hugh jackman was really tall in comparison, that threw the nature of the character off.
hence, you have the wolverine cast. bram stoker’s dracula did the same thing with the main character, pitting him in a very regal sort of attire and a kind of king’s crown situation, that screamed “different”. dracula is always the same that i have seen and remembered him to be, from bella legosi to the typical rendition seen in monster squad from the 80’s.
mark wahlberg is small and max payne has a taller likeness. but there are so few that could play him. i think about how i would wolverine cast someone, because it makes me think as someone that aspires to do film in the future, to look at the style that i want to create and manage to build a viable career in film.
i think that wolverine casting, which is an old, old thing that has been taken advantage of in film, opens my eyes to something more creative. I just hope they get this flick right, because i have been waiting for a long time for this film.

I am most influenced by what’s around me and what i do to generate motivation in me. i scour the internets everyday, trying to find new everything from samples and designs to movies and posters.
I have an artistic ability but i am not qualified to do anything more than what i was born to do. i quit my job and started my design business TODAY officially!! it feels great and i am happy that i did this! i have nothing more than my wits to provide a living, which is something that i have always wanted to do in my life.
ever since i seen my uncle norman with his business i wanted to have one of my own and operate and a level that can only go as far as i will. I just turned 25 on the first and it dawned on me that i will do this business this year and i will succeed at it.
i make music and do designs i will be the best at what i do!!
i just want to create and it feels good to know that i am doing this to eat.
To the future.
A new high speed railway will connect southern california to the bay area.
This is something that i have been talking about getting done all across the country for so long, it doesn’t make any sense. People should have been talking about this from the time that gas was gouched over $1.50!! The entire country needs this system of high speed travel, so people can get constant transport of people from one end of the country to the other.
think about new york city. Such a HUGE piece of land (S) and so little time to spend on each one. I think there are more people in that city that have never set foot outside of it than in any other town in the U.S. i wouldn’t be surprised if there were a federal legislation in the future that would mandate the construction of a national railway system.
most all of europe uses this string of systems to travel, go to work and take trips. japan, which is one of the smaller of nations to exercise this effort, new from the beginning that trains were going to be apart of the future we live in. i don’t know that they thought there would be gas prices like this, but there is something that they were in tune to, that drew them towards trains!!
How did we come so late?? where were the law makers for these kinds of things?? i KNOW for a fact that gas would be WAAAY cheaper, and effort for better usage of products would be better as well. america needs a national plan for conserving and trying to go greener with a definite timeline.
the rail system is said to rise to costs as much as $9.95B!! These are the kinds of things that i want to know about, when it comes to tax dollars, private capital and the like. i don’t want to be told that my tax money is going one place and ends up in another. And if that place were any where unexpected, i would only accept it ending up in a third world country or funneled into a system for the homeless and sick.
i think that there should be more things like this that are heard about for our future as westerners. i really feel that we are going to accomplish something great from this. i really hope we are starting a new and better path. we need to give ourselves salvation. nations are built on efficiency and that’s a practice that is rarely acted out in the west.
